Jitterbug and her sistership Nellie G. are Huckins-designed powerboats. Olsen Marine on Cape Cod, which specializes in servicing Huckins powerboats, had a client who wanted a larger version of his existing Huckins. The lines plans and general layout were developed by Huckins. Olsen Marine hired Aquidneck Custom Composites to build the hulls and structure, while Olsen did the systems installation and final fitting out. WD was contracted to perform the structural engineering and lofting of patterns and molds. This included creating the entire deck, cabin house and canopy as a one piece composite design, all from a two view drawing. Jitterbug was launched in 2002, with Nellie G. following in 2003.
